We are looking for a Research Engineer with experience in protein analysis and purification to join the Viral Vector applications section in the Start-to-Finish department at R&D in Uppsala. The section is focusing on purification and analysis of different viral vectors, plasmids and mRNA in projects with close collaborations with the customers.
What you’ll do
As a Research Engineer you will be a member of a team performing and coordinating research activities within different projects in R&D from early-stage problem statement to NPI projects, product care and market support, always with the customer in focus.
This role is focused on analysis and purification of viral vectors and proteins.
This also includes being involved in method development and method transfer/training within R&D, maintaining instrumentation and infrastructure, creating standard operating procedures.
Who you are
You have a BSc, MSc or Engineering degree in biochemistry or similar.
You have experience in bioassays such as Elisa, qPCR, Western blot. Knowledge about protein purification using chromatography and filtration are desired but not required.
Additional experience of Cytivas product lines, e.g. ÄKTA, Biacore and chromatography resins as well as industrial work are considered a merit.
Interaction and communication with colleagues in this role are key and you should enjoy working in a flexible environment and have demonstrated abilities to work in a collaborative and customer focused environment.
English and Swedish skills (oral and writing) are also required.
