We are looking for a research engineer for our development and innovation projects.
The position is temporary until September 30, 2021.
The RISE department Infrastructure and Concrete Technology has one of the leading groups in Sweden within cementitious materials research. In the unit Material Design, we are focusing on the development and testing of sustainable materials and components for construction close to the market. Within the unit we are 20 enthusiastic colleagues helping industry and society to transform towards a more sustainable future by down to earth research and services for clients.
About the position
The position is for strengthening of our existing R&D group in Borås. The main work tasks include support for our project team members in performing material analysis (XRD, MXRF) and tests (isothermal calorimetry, rheology) as well as implementing new material formulations in our labs (cement/textile composites, polymer/cement composites). Within our team you will work self-reliantly on testing and analytical tasks but in close communication and collaboration with team members, project leaders and clients. The position requires a high flexibility but also excellent team working skills.
Who are you?
You have a bachelor’s degree or higher in material engineering or similar and have already experience within the field of construction materials. You are already familiar with different test and analytical methods, in particular XRD and rheology. You have good communication skills and you are thriving to work in an international team of specialists. You are also able to plan and execute self-reliantly different tasks in excellent quality, timely and reliability as well as contribute with enthusiasm in problem-solving within on-going commissions and projects.
