Research and Development Department of Metallurgical Research (Sandvik Materials Technology), unit for Process Development, Bar, Billets and Extrusion is looking for research engineers with an academic degree in Hot Working processes or materials science.The unit deals with process development in fields of Hot Working, such as hot rolling, forging and extrusion, along the whole hot production flow.Production plants are situated in Sweden, USA and India.We are in an exciting period, e.g.with the introduction of many new advanced materials, involving a lot of challenges.Key performance areas Responsibilities consist of process development in the field of Hot Working, especially hot extrusion.The appointment involves initiation of projects, project leading and participation in development and investment projects.Coverage of the national and international development in areas of Hot Working will be one important part of the appointment.Your Profile A suitable profile for the position is a degree, e.g.PhD or MSc in Hot Working or materials science.Experiences in the tasks above, especially hot extrusion are regarded as being further qualifying.
