The Department of Laboratory Medicine, Stem Therapy group within the Stem Cell Center is looking for a research engineer/technician for the new Core Facility for human pluripotent stem cell research.Aim of the project is to set up and run the core facility, which will promote diverse fields of human pluripotent stem cell research.The position includes the propogation of human embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cells lines for distribution to users, training for new users and management of the facility.
Arbetsuppgifter
You will obtain a position as research engineer/technician at the newly established Core Facility for human pluripotent stem cell research.This facility supports researchers with infrastructure and know-how to perform diverse experiments in the field of human pluripotent stem cell biology.Your position will be of special importance for the maintenance and organization of research activity within the facility.
Specific job details: You will be required to aid in the initial set-up of the Stem Cell Core Facility.This may involve consulting with experts and sale associates for the selection of equipment to be used in the core.
You will also design and enforce the work flow routines for the lab users to ensure the efficient, practical and sterile core facility for all users.Responsible for the training and instruction of new users on ES and iPS cell biology, culture, characterization and differentiation.
You will also be responsible for administrating the Stem Cell Core Facility including management of reagent charges to various labs using the core, organizing equipment repair and maintenance and maintaining a full reagent and lab ware stocks necessary for stem cell research.
Önskvärda kvalifikationer
We are looking for a motivated and independent team player with good experience in cell culture.It is necessary that you have good oral communication skills in English since we are working in an international environment.
Qualifications: Research engineer/technician with University exam in biomedical sciences or equivalent.Experience with human cell culture and cellbiology techniques.Previous experience with human embryonic stem cells and/or induced pluripotent stem cells is an advantage.Knowledge of innunohistochemical, flow cytometry and molecular biology methods are desirable.We also find it important that you are interested in learning new technique
