Qualifications:
Research experience and/or work experience in the fields of international relations, policy work and journalism.

Are you interested in working in a dynamic and international environment? We are now looking for an on-site Research Fellow for the Institute for Security and Development Policy’s Stockholm China Center (SCC).

The Institute for Security and Development Policy is a Stockholm-based non-profit and non-partisan research and policy organization. ISDP is dedicated to fostering a greater understanding of international affairs, focusing on the inter-relationship between security, conflict, and development. At the institute, there are currently around 18 staff members and approximately ten guest researchers and interns.
Tasks
As a Research Fellow, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by independently initiating, conducting, and overseeing research projects aligned with SCC’s thematic areas. Additionally, you will take the lead in organizing and managing events and contribute to our fundraising efforts. The position also entails ensuring efficient management and clear communication of SCC’s activities to both our staff and stakeholders and facilitating its expansion over time.
Required qualifications for the position
Excellent written and spoken English.
Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
Background in international relations, policy analysis, journalism, or related field.
Strong multitasking, prioritization, and deadline management skills.
Proficient in research and analysis, able to work independently.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Previous publications focusing on China.
EU work permit and availability to relocate to Stockholm.
Prior experience in policy research or fundraising is an asset.
The ideal candidate should be a collaborative team player with strong intercultural competence and effective coordination skills.
