The here announced Research Fellow position, focused on information economics, is a part of an ongoing research program conducted at the Department of Informatics. That research is sponsored by several external bodies and also by Linnaeus University. The overall focus of this research program is the exploration of societal digitalization. Several research projects are currently pursued as part of this program, which are conducted by the Linnaeus Information Logistics research Initiative (LILI) research team. The LILI-team currently includes seven part-time researchers. The position announced here is to be allocated within the LILI-team, under the supervision of its research leader, Professor Darek M. HAFTOR. 

Specification of the Working Tasks
This Research Fellow position is to conduct a shorter and explorative research project with the focus on information economics and specifically economics of the information worker. Two key outcomes are expected from this research project. Firstly, a general characterization of several nations information economics, including Sweden’s; secondly, a formulated research proposal for a continuation of this research initiative. More specifically, the following activities may constitute the project and hence the work of this Research Fellow: 




Characterization of several nations’ economics of information worker, in terms of:




state of the art identification




produced analysis of several nations






Research Proposal




to be based on the above specified outcomes




the formulated proposal for a research project aims to continue the analysis of information worker.





Required Qualifications:




Formal degree: PhD in Economics, or equivalent, (certificate must be in Swedish and/or in English); The applicant must have completed his /her Ph.D. studies no more than seven years previous the application deadline.




Previous experience of work as a researcher, with the focus on analysis of a nation’s economic activities and structures;




Good proficiency of analytical methods utilized in economics, (including: research design, data identification and collection, statistical data analysis, data presentation, research report compilation, oral presentations)




Good proficiency in written and spoken English
