At Epidemic Sound we are reinventing the music industry. Our carefully curated catalog, with over 35,000 tracks and 90,000 sound effects are tailored for storytellers, streaming services, and in-store soundtracks. Our customer base covers everyone from a Youtube hobbyist soundtracking their cooking demonstration videos, all the way up to major tv/movie studios or stream platforms looking for music and sound effects for their productions.
The UX research team’s goal is to deepen our collective user understanding, to achieve that we need to continue to scale the impact of our research through innovative research activation activities, as well as through democratization to ensure more of our decisions are based on data and insights. The demand on our operations for these activities will only increase, so we need to continue to learn and create just-enough processes to enable the best outcomes for all research stakeholders in delivery and receiving research insights.
We are currently looking for a Research Operations Lead for a 12 month parental leave cover to join our team in Stockholm and continue to build our operations out to provide first class support for all user experience researchers and research stakeholders.
How you will make an impact
As the dedicated operations member on the team, you’ll play a vital role in the development of the practice in a rapidly scaling environment. This is an unique opportunity to define how Epidemic Sound will effectively archive and all past, present, and future research where you will make huge contributions.
More specifically you will:
- Be the internal go to person for request, backlog grooming, triangulation initiatives, and customer experience evangelist
- Create and lead implementation of processes, systems, and tools that will set us up to scale rapidly into a global research operations
- Own the end-to-end research participant recruitment process including managing the planning, scheduling, coordinating, and tracking of research
- Be a strategic operations leader - oversee the systems to manage the workflow, advise on recruitment resources, and identify new opportunities to improve current workflows
- Support with recruitment management of customer panel, internal requests for customer briefs, incentive payment process, GDPR governance and community management
- Work with researchers to identify team needs, make recommendations for improvements, and support the planning and execution of the projects
- Foster awareness of ongoing research, key insights, and outcomes in order to build support and enthusiasm for research throughout the organization
Who you are
To be successful in this role we believe you’re exceptionally well organized, efficient and able to manage multiple activities in parallel. You are an excellent communicator, able to utilize and identify the most appropriate communication channels and to adjust your tone based on your audience. Furthermore, you are structured and aren’t afraid of taking on an unexplored area.
We believe you have/are:
- Passionate about generating and maintaining processes that empower User Researchers in their craft
- Experience working with Research Operations or Research Recruiting and/or Project Management
- Experience managing various projects simultaneously and streamlining research processes
- Understanding of User Research methodologies and experience with User Research tools
- Experience with successfully navigated cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English, verbal and written
