About Swedish Match

The largest product segment is Smoke-free Products, which includes nicotine portions, snus, moist snuff and chewing tobacco. Role

In your role you will be part of the Nicotine Science function which is a part of the Product Science group. Product Science supports the company with scientific knowledge and works with research projects and studies aimed at improving products and optimizing the business benefit for Swedish Match. Within Nicotine Science, the focus is to support the organization with new science and analysis from the research field of nicotine science, both within the framework of Swedish Match and within the research field in general. A large part of the work involves research, data compilation and analysis.

Main responsibilities:

• Plan and implement projects and research work within the group’s business area.
• Evaluate and compile results from research work into reports and presentations.
• Support the design and evaluation of clinical and product testing studies.
• Keep up to date on research developments in chemistry, pharmacology and analysis regarding smokeless tobacco products, foodstuffs, nicotine products and pharmaceuticals.

In this role, you will have many interactions internally and externally, therefore good communication skills are valuable. You are pedagogical as you support other functions in the company with expertise and new knowledge in areas such as physicochemical and nicotine-related issues.

Your profile:

• PhD in chemistry or a related field or an academic degree at master’s level in science with professional competence to apply research methodology.
• Good knowledge and experience of applying research methodology effectively.
• Experience with data analysis.
• Good computer skills and knowledge in statistics.
• Fluent in English

• Worked with clinical data or clinical samples
• Interest and experience in the field of Nicotine Science.
• Swedish skills.
