As a Research Team Manager, you take over a responsibility to lead our research team in Power System and digitalization at the Power Grids Research Center Sweden. Your team is focused on interdisciplinary research in the area of power system development from automation to transmission, and transport for electrification. In your role you will work both locally and globally within our Power Grids Research organization and closely with business lines R&D to secure technology development and R&D project portfolio in your research team.

Your responsibilities
Leading a multidisciplinary research team
Coaching project leaders for scientific excellence and professional execution of R&D projects.
Coach team members to support their professional development and recruit new employee.
Fostering the creation of new R&D project proposals and strategic research initiatives.
Contributing to research projects and pre-studies.
Maintain and develop excellent collaboration across the organization, relevant business lines and leading universities.
Contributing to an innovating and motivating working environment within our research center and globally within Power Grids Research.

Your background
You hold a master’s or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering or have equivalent professional experience.
Strong leadership and communication skills, and ability to manage expectations and complex interdependencies.
You have previous experience of industrial R&D/or R&D project management.
Good knowledge of Power Grids technologies and products, and interest in new fields of research and technology.
Team-oriented and innovative personality as well as strategic-oriented working style
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
