Research & Technology Manager

We’re now looking for a Research and Technology Manager to lead a competent team of experts within our R&D department. We offer you quite a unique opportunity to be part of this exciting transformation journey as we become a brand new business area – taking on a strategic role in our growth phase, where you get to develop along with the business and have a great amount of freedom to shape our research and technology operations.


Your mission
In this position, you lead, evaluate and develop a team of highly skilled and driven experts in simulations and materials technologies to ensure top quality, validity and credibility in our research and technology development activities. You make sure that our strategies are aligned with our long-term visions and objectives, and that all projects follow a common project model. In addition, you oversee your R&D budget by monitoring the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending and maintain professional standards.


Important parts of your mission are to develop and maintain technical expertise in our organization, and to explore and evaluate new technologies and provide us with advice on appropriate R&D investments. You also establish and manage research cooperation with universities and other parts of the industry. All in all, your main focus is to increase and develop the competence in our team, work cross functional and drive change – keeping us two steps ahead and ready to meet any challenges waiting around the corner.


This position is based at our headquarters in Svedala – a fast and easy commute from surrounding cities such as Malmö, Lund and Ystad, and with our site located just across from the train station.


Your character
We’re looking for someone with a master’s degree – or perhaps even a PhD - in a relevant technical area, combined with a few years’ experience from a research oriented managerial role and a proven track record of successful and coaching leadership. You have a deep technical understanding, are used to managing both internal and external stakeholders and form smart and effective collaborations to move us forward. Knowing your way in complex systems and simulations are also advantageous. Working in a truly global environment, and with deep collaborations with our R&D teams in Finland and Germany, calls for excellent skills in English.
