The research performed at the Institute of Biomedicine focus on cells and tissues, their composition, how they work, how their function is controlled by genes and the environment, and how these different factors interact with different types of microorganisms. With this knowledge, we aim to determine the molecular mechanisms of different diseases and to find new or improved diagnostic and treatment options. Duties
Research within the area of tumor biology, especially studies of BRAF-mutated tumors. The main focus will be different factors contributing to tumor progression and evaluation of different treatment options.
Teaching, examination, and administration of the subject anatomy at the program in medicine.
Qualifications
PhD in a relevant subject. Degree from the program in medicine. Research in tumor biology, with a focus on transgenic animal models that allow analysis of tumor clonality and evaluation of different forms of therapy. Experience of teaching anatomy at first cycle courses and independent course development work. Practical experience of teaching anatomy including dissections (donations, embalming) and use of the SECTRA image management system. Good knowledge of tumor biology and anatomy. Good knowledge of Swedish.
