With new knowledge and new perspectives, the University contributes to a better future.Institute of Odontology is one of six institutes at the Sahlgrenska Academy, the University of Gothenburg. Every year, 93 dentists, 32 dental hygienists, 20 dental technicians, 20 KUT dentists and a number of research students are examined.
Our research takes place in prominent research groups in 13 odontological subject areas. A large part of the department's clinical training takes place in collaboration with the National Dental Service in the Västra Götaland region.
The Department of Oral Medicine and Pathology conducts research about oral mucosal diseases. A main research area is immune mechanisms in autoimmune diseases, oral potentially malignant disorders and oral cancer. Another main research area is oral side effects of cancer treatment. The Department participates in several national and international studies.

Duties
In the present position you will with your competence participate and contribute to research and education conducted in the Department.
Qualifications
Completed doctoral degree is mandatory for the position and the doctoral dissertation must be in a relevant field.
A university degree in dentistry and good knowledge of and ability to write and speak Swedish are merits.
Merits are also ongoing research activities and documented postgraduate education in oral medicine.
Employment
The employment is permanent 10% with placement at Section 1, Institute of Odontology.
