About this opportunity
Ericsson Research is looking for a motivated new team member, eager to challenge the current state-of-the-art and engage in developing novel computer vision solutions. With us, you can apply your theoretical knowledge and programming skills to real-world problems. You will learn to work with modern 3D scanning devices and apply 3D reconstruction concepts at scale.
This position gives the opportunity to impact Ericsson’s products and services, publish results in leading technical journals and conferences, file patent applications, and enjoy fully collaborative way of working in a multi-disciplinary team of researchers
You will bring
PhD or MSc degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar
Strong mathematical background
Solid programming skills, including C++ and Python
Strong communication skills in written and spoken English and good presentation skills
Strong analytical skills and ability to acquire new knowledge and apply it in the job
Ability to formulate problems and solve them independently
Further merits for the role:
Experience in computer vision, 3D point cloud generation, understanding, or compression or other spatial mapping techniques
Experience with distributed compute solutions
Familiarity with computer graphics programming
Knowledge in signal processing and/or machine learning
