The research area and duties
The Computational Chemistry and Biochemistry Group (CCBG) uses computer modelling and simulations to study problems within biomedicine and physical chemistry, including modelling of drug resistance in cancer, macromolecule-ion interactions and simulations of solutions. We seek a highly motivated, experienced computational chemist to support our efforts in disease-relevant molecular modelling. Qualifications
Applicants should hold a PhD in chemistry or a related subject with specialisation in computational or theoretical chemistry, biochemistry or biophysics. Fluency in written and oral English, and proven experience in the running and analysis of molecular dynamics simulations under Linux or Unix is essential. Programming experience and familiarity with shell scripting is an advantage. Experience in quantum chemistry is also an advantage.
Terms of employment
Full-time, 100%, one year fixed term, starting 15.08.2017. The position may be extended upon mutual interest and availability of funding.
