Our Exciting Opportunity
The IoT and Cyber-Physical Systems Technologies team at Ericsson Research is looking for a talented computer vision, control and robotics researcher to address some of the most relevant challenges in perception and control in Cyber-Physical Systems! Our team has the charter to identify relevant technology challenges within IoT Technologies and Cyber-Physical Systems, develop novel algorithms, create new concepts and technologies, do proof-of-concept prototyping, serve as a pool of expertise supporting strategy within Ericsson, and create strategically important intellectual property.
The suitable candidate has a proven track record in the areas of computer vision, control and robotics, and strong interest in driving research activities in these fields. This is an opportunity for you to further explore the exciting field of robotics and perception, and demonstrate your cutting-edge ideas, energy, enthusiasm and skill to revolutionize future connected devices and machines.
You will
Work in an area of great strategic importance for the Ericsson Group
Make significant impact in Ericsson’s partner eco-system, international industry bodies and software communities
Innovate new concepts and solutions and transfer these to the product development
Perform, document and communicate research studies, measurements or computer simulations
Develop research strategies
Develop evaluation tools, demonstrators or test beds
Engage in standardization, university collaborations, partner and customer activities
Create new technical solutions and protect them with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
To be successful in the role you must have
MSc or higher education in the field of Systems, Control and Robotics or similar
Experience using SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), in particular structure-based SLAM algorithms
Experience using depth sensors, such as stereo cameras and Lidar sensors
Experience in developing real-time and synchronized solutions for monocular, IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) and Lidar data collection
A track record of programming experience in C/C++, Python
A minimum of one filed patent application in the area of computer vision, control and robotics
Ability to formulate problems and solve them independently and in groups
