About us
The Industrial Systems department at RISE works with applied research in AI / ML, IoT, XR as well as in data management and visualization.
We are active in the network area with expertise in optical transmission, converged networks and decentralized digital infrastructures. In the Network unit we also work with image and video quality within the framework of our Test and Demo facility Visual Media Quality.
About the role
In the role as researcher, you will participate to and, in some cases, lead projects. You will work in interdisciplinary teams and communicate across knowledge domains to be able to realize and deliver in the projects you are part of. You will be expected to create new projects and to do this, you will build a business around the subject area and partnerships internally within RISE and externally. You are expected to lead and be involved in application writing. You will run research projects and link new advances in research to existing customer needs and implement these to drive technological development in business and the public sector, to make a difference for real. Our office is in Kista.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology, research and business development. You are an energetic person who is not afraid to have dialogue and meetings with customers and colleagues. We also want you to have an academic education in a relevant field, at least a MSc but preferably a PhD, or equivalent work experience. As researcher in the area of cybersecurity and privacy, you have good knowledge of decentralized digital trusted infrastructures, the cryptography that can be used for privacy-preserving technologies and security in general.
You also have an ability to translate technical properties of privacy preserving techniques into practical and reality-based problems in different contexts and domains. You can build prototypes and functional demonstrations and a habit of working with different cryptographic libraries. We see an understanding of the Self-Sovereign Identity concept and of different types of Distributed Ledger Technologies as a merit. Furthermore, you have a proven ability to write research applications and research reports and publish scientific text and great habit of networking internally and externally to identify needs owners and partners. You have a good understanding of, spoken and written Swedish and English.
