About this opportunity
We are looking for a Researcher to build and transfer technology competence to ensure technology leadership and profitable business for Ericsson by:


Contributing to Ericsson research activities.
Developing novel concepts, solutions and algorithms with emphasizes on communication technologies for mobile devices.
Communicating research results by developing prototypes, concept demonstrations, preparing publications and patent applications.



What you will do
Work in research projects and perform studies in the area of wireless communication for emerging devices such as future smartphones, sensors, XR glasses. This includes modem and protocol aspects as well as signal processing for 5G evolution and 6G.
Create new technical solutions and protect them with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
Participate in innovation workshops to come up with new concepts.
Support proof of concepts and demos of new technologies and solutions.
Participate in collaborations within Ericsson as well as with other companies in the industry and with internationally top-ranked universities.



You will bring
PhD with work experience relevant to above tasks or similar experience from industry.
Experience from wireless communication algorithms, hardware, or protocols.
Experience in simulation or other modeling tools and methodologies.
Solid analytical skills and ability to acquire new knowledge.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills in written and spoken English.
Willingness to collaborate, initiate actions, define research studies, and be part of creating 6G.



Specific experience within one or more of the following areas are meriting
Mobile device hardware, specifically antenna design
Hands on building demos and proof of concepts including e.g. SW development kits, raspberry pi, Arduino etc
A proven track record of innovations with granted patent applications
