The School of Medical Sciences seeks a researcher for a time-limited appointment in social epidemiology.
The post holder will be based in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, which has a research focus on register studies and secondary analysis.
Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for conducting a study using Swedish register data to examine labour market outcomes among people who have been treated successfully for cancer. This will involve developing an analysis plan, preparing a large and complex dataset, conducting advanced statistical modelling and disseminating the findings including through publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Qualifications and experience
We are seeking applicants with a PhD in a quantitative discipline relevant to research in social epidemiology. Proficiency in data preparation and advanced statistical modelling using packages such as Stata or SAS is essential, as is experience of research in chronic disease and the labour market.

The appointment is part-time (20%) and for a period of 6 months. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
