About this opportunity
Ready to collaborate and invent the future of 6G? We are looking for an experienced and creative researcher to engage in D-MIMO research for future generations of the telecommunication network platform. This opportunity is to join our Radio Network and Modelling and Control team to innovate and conduct radio research, to drive collaborations with the local ecosystem and universities. At Ericsson Research, we collaborate in global cross-organizational teams and have opportunities to learn and work with top industry researchers on the newest technologies!
You have a deep understanding multi-antenna communication, radio access network, and particularly of the physical (PHY) and medium access control (MAC) layers. You are interested to apply them to address new, exciting real-world problems and to research new radio access technologies for future 6G networks.
You will be part of a highly dynamic and globally distributed team, working on development projects with other specialists to drive portfolio innovation and evolution.

What you will do
Perform, document and communicate research studies and network simulations.
Develop evaluation tools and demonstrators.
Create new technical solutions and protect them with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
Engage with external ecosystem (academia, technology leaders, open source, etc.) to develop skills and technology portfolio.
Collaborate with product development teams and partners in Ericsson business to industrialize innovations and solutions as part of Ericsson product and service portfolio.
You will bring
Education: M Sc or equivalent or PhD or Licentiate degree. Practical experience is not required.
Strong analytical skills and ability to acquire new knowledge and apply it in the job
Good communication skills in written and spoken English
Ability to formulate problems and solve them independently
Creativity and ability to work independently
Ability to develop and drive new ways of working, to produce research results in a more efficient way
