Description
We are searching for a Researcher to the Material Development team at the Research centre in Karlstad, Consumer Boards division.

The Material Development team develops new materials for packaging applications with special focus on cellulose based renewable materials to replace plastics and aluminum. The team also produces demonstrators of the developed materials in its potential applications. Members in the team are working in or managing projects within the whole scope of developing and introducing new material to the market. The team is also a key contact point for external R&D providers in the operational field of the team.

Your task will be to scale up a new cellulose based material for packaging applications from lab to pilot scale. This involves the definition of process scope, drawings and unit processes, which including evaluation of the process feasibility from material property, energy, environmental and economical point of view. You will do that in close collaboration with skilled and experienced coworkers within Stora Enso as well as with top notch external R&D providers.

This will require good interpersonal and cultural skills and ability to structure you task. Traveling will be a natural part of your work. The position offers a good opportunity to further develop your skills and network while working in the research frontier of cellulose based materials.

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills who has a good ability to work in matrix organizations. As a person you have a willingness to develop and maintain a strong network within in Stora Enso as well as with external R&D providers. Further you are strong in marketing and communicating project results. Good communication skills in both English and Swedish are a requirement.

You have an MSc in engineering, environmental science or chemistry or other skills that can be judged equal. Experience form work with CAD, piloting or in a mill environment is considered a merit.
