Researcher within Aroma Chemistry for foods

We are looking for a researcher within Aroma Chemistry for foods for a temporary position.

Product Design consists of 20 persons who design food and bio-based materials with specific properties, mainly for future food which is innovative and healthy. We also work with adjacent areas such as hygiene, pharma and forestry area as well as soft materials for medical use. We assist industry in advanced product development and conduct applied research aimed at future applications.

About the position
You will independently design experiments and execute analytical evaluation of aroma components in different food matrix using GC-Olfactometry, GC-FID/MS/FPD. Your role will include working closely with other food scientists and other expertise and experimentalists at RISE. Other responsibilities include performing data analysis, statistical evaluation, interpretation of experimental results and reporting in writing to the project teams. Location for the position is Gothenburg.

Who are you?
You like challenges and search for solutions, and like working together with colleagues and other expertise. Experience of GC-Olfactometry, GC-FID/MS/FPD at advanced level is essential. Experience of using Xcalibur GC software is a plus. You have a PhD in aroma science, food chemistry, analytical chemistry or equivalent and it is a merit if you have performed an international Post doc. Experience from combining aroma chemistry with sensory science is also a strong qualification.  

You are fluent in English, both in writing and verbally, and we assume you have basic knowledge in Swedish as well. Other language skills are also meriting. You are used to national and international collaborations.
