We are now looking for you who want to be a part of our unit with a wide range of expertise and well-equipped modern laboratories.
About us
The Unit of Chemical Problem Solving is now recruiting a project leader/researcher to the team in Gothenburg, Sweden. The unit is working within a wide range of chemical analysis assignments for our customers as well as research within the area of energy gases, biochemistry, organic and inorganic chemistry. We cooperate with large and small companies, research institutes, and universities around common challenges.
About the role
As a researcher, you are expected to drive your projects forward in a solution-oriented manner and to work cross-functionally with other researchers in different types of projects. You are expected to collaborate with our customers and research partners to support the development of technologies for sustainable transitions within the energy gas area. In this context, it is expected that you develop various chemical methods within the area using our well-equipped instrument park.
You get motivated by solving our customer problems and environmental issues as well as technical challenges of our society. As a researcher, you are expected to keep up to date on new developments in areas relevant to the business and build deep competence within the field of your expertise. Finally, you should feel comfortable writing research applications, articles, and research reports.
Who are you?
To thrive in the role, you need to be self-driven, structured, be able to take own initiatives and be open to input from customers and colleagues. You are creative and like to face problems that requires you to explore new areas. Technical curiosity is something that drives you, in particular in the energy gases area , and you enjoy practical experimental work. You have relevant experience of working strategically and leading projects. You have a good ability to communicate with stakeholders, present your work at conferences and project meetings.
- Ph.D. degree in preferably analytical chemistry or other relevant education
- A few years of relevant work experience (from industry or university) preferably as project leader or researcher
- High scientific competence in the context of industrial challenges
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Experience from the energy gas area or organic chemistry is desirable
