Resident Engineer

As the Resident Engineer you will be the customers first point of contact for Aptiv. You will be the expert on several Aptiv components at the customer facilities. Acting like a link between Aptiv internal team and the customer team, you’ll identify issues proactively and collaborate with the customer on how to solve them. You represent and know the customer best in a global organization. You are inspired by problem solving and be customer focused.
Your Role


Hold weekly meeting between customer and Aptiv where we go through the current time plan, deliveries and action items.
Follow up tasks identified during weekly meeting.
Troubleshoot field quality issues.
Analyze compatibility of new peripherals to be connected to Aptiv components, or propose changed needed to VGTT specification in order to accommodate this.
Take part in development discussions.
Handle samples at customer and make modifications as needed.
Take part in current and future products at VGTT.

Self motivated person
Outstanding and empathetic communicator, you will be a hugely important conduit between Aptiv and the customer. Being our eyes and ears for any issues the customer is experiencing.
Ability to get into projects in a short period of time
Result oriented person
Excellent in co-operating with other persons with various background
Ability to function in a high pressure and sometimes ambiguous environment
Background/ formal education with electrical engineering or system engineering
Willing to be flexible and get involved in solutions for the customer
