The Residual Value Analyst is taking care of Residual Value (RV) of the Volvo brand and its full model range. By working closely with Volvo Cars remarketing, used car pricing analyst, Global online experience (GOX), commercial product & pricing, external data providers & our National sales companies NSCs, the role will set up and maintain central RV transparency & research, in close cooperation with the NSCs. The core focus is on the EMEA region, aligning with all regions.

What you will do:
•    RV integration: combine various RV sources into holistic reporting/ analytical tools, such as external RV Guidebooks, internal remarketing results (RMS), dealer offer pricing (MODIX) and RV Forecasts (e.g., GOX, …) by the usage of tableau/ power BI
•    RV Monitoring and tracking: ensure seamless and consistent RV monitoring by managing data availability and consistency through data providers & model lifecycle
•    Support development & implementation of RV Forecasting tool, in close alignment with GOX
•    Provide the Residual Value functional team & senior management with regular reports (quarterly) and analysis of residual value performance & trends, identifying causes of residual value movements and opportunities for improvement
•    Provide special research of residual value performance, trends, and opportunities, e.g., new vehicle introductions, trim/ offer strategies, new pricing and service offers
•    Guide, support and monitor NSCs to optimize local RV Management, reflecting central guidelines and RV KPIs. Review and approve NSC action plans
•    Business owner for external purchased RV, TCO, market price data and studies
•    Build a relationship with external RV influencers via regular dialog and contact (e.g., during Volvo Cars WLC events, presenting at related conferences, joining the market expert discussion, etc) to keep a strong image of Volvo brand
•    Provide support in planning and conducting RV Pre-Launch-Studies (along with vehicle launches - market definition, content provision, review, and communication), in alignment with commercial products teams and NSCs
•    Support periodical dialog and reviews to reflect on RV in combination with financial risk, rent-a-car negotiations, remarketing business and cross-border trade.

Do you fit the profile?
•    Master’s degree in engineering or Economics or similar
•    Fluent in English on both oral and written, additional languages are beneficial
•    Have a comprehensive understanding of the new and used car market, from a wholesale and retail perspective, including product details down to vehicle equipment and features
•    Good communication and presentation skills, combined with strong teamwork spirit and the ability to work in multi-cultural and cross-national remote teams
•    Ability to structure, organise and simplify complex tasks
•    Self-motivated and taking initiative to identify and push new aspects on RV Reporting, Analysis and RV management
•    Business & cooperation software literate to handle daily work tasks
•    Strong ability in quantitative field such as statistics or economics
•    Very good analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions with facts and figures
