Acne Studios is a Swedish based fashion company with a global reach that sells its products through 650 retailers in more than 40 countries and more than 30 concept stores located in Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, among others. It is a fast growing company with a yearly turnover of roughly 100 MEUR. The headquarter is located in the Old Town in Stockholm, and employs around 120 people. Apart from the Stockholm office, Acne Studios operates offices in Paris, New York, London, Oslo and Copenhagen.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Acne Studios is growing and is now searching for a Retail Development & Visual Manager to lead and develop our retail development department as well as the visual activities in the stores through visual merchandising and in-store marketing activities. The DV Manager will be responsible for planning expansions and implement the openings of Acne Studios stores, secure the quality of our store concept, and ensure maximum sales capacity and an optimum display. The position also includes to increasing and ensuring customer satisfaction and continued business growth by optimized store experiences. Retail development projects include development of freestanding stores, department store units, shop-in-shops and occasional franchise stores. The DV Manager will be responsible for the store development projects from start to finish, which includes co-ordination of the design process, managing the construction phase and quality follow-up. The tasks will also include renovation- and maintenance projects for existing stores. Leading our Visual Merchandise department and its development, and ensure that we meet the expectations of sales and visual quality as well leading our retail activities.
The position will be based at Acne Studios headquarters in Stockholm and report to the Head of Retail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure quality, as well as maximized sales in relation to the store concept and visual activities
- Manage staff development and inspire and motivate direct reporting employees
- Lead and manage our visual & marketing projects to secure development & sales profit
- Responsible for retail development projects from start to finish (including scheduling/timing, budget,construction meetings, logistics control and final delivery)
- Negotiate contracts and source suppliers
- Run store renewal/renovation projects on existing store base
- Coordinate in-house functions related to the store opening process (such as IT, logistics etc.)
- Contribute to continuous development of the store opening processes within the company
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years experience as project- or construction leader within retail
- Strong understanding of the consequences of design and layout of retail space
- Exceptionell skills in Project management
- International experience from store opening projects
- Preferably technical background to construction and/or architecture with knowledge of ArchiCad or AutoCad
- Strong organizing and administrative skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills ? specifically experience in communication with contractors, retail teams and architects
- Strong ability to handle multitasking situations in periods with a high level of pace
- Solution oriented
- Experience in visual- and conceptual development
- Fluency in English written and spoken is required, other languages are qualifying
