Job description
IKEA retail equipment, such as racking, fixtures, machines and tools, supports the marketing and sales of IKEA products and helps visitors enjoy shopping. IKEA retail equipment is standardized, approved for use by IKEA retailers and is centrally sourced and purchased. The development of all IKEA retail equipment is driven by the aim to increasing sales and customer satisfaction, while lowering operational costs and ensuring safety.
As Retail Equipment Leader for Handling and Storage you will be responsible for and contribute to various development initiatives that create value in the meeting with the customer. You will be part of leading the development of Retail Equipment Franchise offer and ensure successful business integration.
As Retail Equipment Leader you will also:
Lead and work closely together with peers across the totality of Core Business Franchise and across IKEA to strengthen and contribute to a strong and relevant IKEA franchise offer
Effectively leading, executing and holding together a variety of large development initiatives and leading strategic and complex initiatives across total IKEA Value chain
Managing dependencies and interfaces between initiatives across IKEA
Communicate, plan and distribute relevant information to all relevant stakeholders
Safeguard the IKEA Brand and support business success through following up on the performance of the implementation of the Retail System framework. Ensure constant business improvement by capturing learnings and initiating actions.
Lead the Category Competence networks for Handling and Storage equipment, as well as operationally contribute within multiple areas as subject matter expert.
Together with CBF stakeholders project lead concept development of new Retail Equipment solutions based on the five dimensions of Democratic Design
Concept develop new Retail Equipment solutions that support IKEA to become more circular.
Together with CBF topic owner lead development of efficient business operations at low cost
About you
In order to be successful in this role as Retail Equipment Leader, you have extensive experience of IKEA retail operating model and from assignments with operational and supply background such as e.g. Store Manager. You have knowledge and understanding of the IKEA pipeline, the development process, and the prerequisites of the supply and retail organizations.
Furthermore, you are a true people person that enjoys empowering and inspiring other people around you. You are a natural collaborator with a strong ability to create strong relationships and networks and is capable of leading co-workers and stakeholders with different roles and assignments. When it comes to describing and communicating complex issues, you do this in a clear and engaging way.
Other things that you bring is:
A business mind, with commitment to develop the IKEA business and to obtain the best possible result for IKEA.
Strong knowledge and experience in leading teams and stakeholders, as well as good knowledge in leading and implementing business change, change management, coaching techniques.
Ability to manage uncertainty in a complex context and you are skilled in prioritizing, taking decisions and challenging the existing ways of working in search of better solutions.
Acting as a visible role-model of the IKEA values.
You have a strong drive and are goal oriented, always with the IKEA values as a base.
Great understanding of the IKEA Strategic Landscape, IKEA Business model for growth.
Good communication skills in English

This is a full time position (40 hours/week) located in Malmö. Since your team is located in different offices and cities, it will require regularly travelling to Älmhult.
