Amazon Sweden is looking for an experienced professional with the proven ability to build and drive core buying functions for a category or categories. You will be responsible for driving the top and bottom line of the P&L and will expand the business by initiating vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, developing promotions, performing complex analysis and monitoring and reacting to industry trends. The role requires a mix of strategic, as well as, operational and hands-on approach. We are looking for an effective leader and communicator, with strong business acumen, sharp analytical skills, and the demonstrated ability to use creative thinking and innovation to solve complex problems. The position is based in Amazon’s Sweden offices in Stockholm.
Responsibilities
Deliver selection growth and increase value for our customers by managing multiple new and existing vendors within category
Build strong and sustainable relationships with our vendors. Find creative solutions in negotiations and facilitate discussions in order to drive profitable growth
Work closely with the site merchandising, Instock, supply chain and product management teams to align all efforts and deliver results.
Turn in-depth analysis into strategic insight, present these in convincing figures and turn them into action
Be an ambassador within the industry and consistently enhance Amazon EU’s cooperation
Seek out ways to automate and simplify manual processes in order to improve productivity
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
6+ years of professional experience
Strong written and verbal English communications skills
Good business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management.
Project management skills, and exceptional organizational skills are essential.
Highly analytical skill set with aptitude for figures and data-driven argumentation
Passionate self-starter, decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas
Ability to think strategically and tactically, with attention to detail
Technical aptitude – able to quickly ramp-up on multiple systems needed for the role
Preferred Qualifications
MBA from a premier business school or similar qualification
Experience in Retail/ Management Consulting / FMCG / E-commerce is a plus
Cross functional experience, especially finance, marketing or supply chain
Excellent knowledge of Excel and database work
Experience in SQL as a plus
