Your mission
The Global Pricing Team within Commercial Operations is new in its current setup. It’s set up to cater for taking price decisions, implement and evaluate the effect in a fast and efficient way with great quality. The scope covers the online and the wholesale business at a global level. The company is in the middle of a major transformation of the commercial system where online and direct are the keywords and the role of pricing in this journey can’t be over-stated.
You will be part of a team challenging the “truth” within pricing in the automotive industry. It’s done through thorough understanding of current dynamics through analysis of existing and developing data sets. The learnings are used to calibrate existing tools for revenue optimization and at the same time invent a bunch of new until the toolbox shines. Developing the tactical playbook will then be a pure joy ride.
You will drive test and learn activities linked to price and product structure to constantly improve the setup. You build models to explain what we need to believe in to go left or right in price structure and volume bets. Together with the revenue managers you structure our joint approach to explain business reality and the consequences of our decisions.
Who are you
You are curious by nature and passionate about improving the business you work with. You probably get a bit upset when you see bad decisions taken due to limited understanding of the situation. In addition, you can channel (the potential) frustration to development of solutions to find and analyze the relevant data, build a model to explain the situation and “sell” your solution to the right people to make a difference.
You have the cognitive ability to move between conceptual understanding of complex matters and find ways to build reasoning bottom-up with the support of data. You’ve understood hypothesis testing in real-world environment is oftentimes the quickest way to improved business decisions and you know how to use it.
We are looking for people who enjoy collaboration and take accountability, as the ability to work within teams is key for success. You are bold, curios and have integrity, you also work with a strong business acumen. To succeed, we believe that your background and skills include:
· 5+ years of relevant experience from analytical work, building structure and understanding in unknown environment
· Experience with value-based pricing and analysis of customer lifetime value is a plus
· Track record and interest in building something new, not just maintaining existing processes
· Ability and interest in dealing with large sets of data. Extensive Excel skills is necessary whereas previous database/coding experience is a plus but not a requirement.
· University degree
· Fluent in English, additional languages is a bonus
Location
HQ Gothenburg or Stockholm.
