Stena Line is divided into 8 business regions and we are now recruiting our new Revenue Manager for business region Germany. The German region includes 5 ships on 3 routes between Germany and Sweden. The operational organization has a diverse business model governed by processes and frameworks as well as best practices and is part of a large matrix organization together with other functions such as Finance, HR, Marketing and Sales, Ship Management etc. in Germany as well as in Sweden.

The Revenue Manager controls that all routes within the region are operating with optimized capacity versus expected volumes and revenue streams on all sailings whilst ensuring cost efficient operations.  The important key contact areas include regional Route Management, Marketing and Sales organizations as well as Revenue Managers from other routes. 

The position will be located in our German Head office in Rostock and you will be reporting to the Route Manager for Business Region Germany as part of the Route Management Team. The position will include travelling, primarily to our different business locations. Start of employment is as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities


• Together with the regional Management Team, run the regional business based on guidance and specific targets
• Motivate and communicate effectively with our internal Marketing and Sales organizations to ensure highest efficiency
• Share best practices with other Revenue Managers
• Strengthen Stena Line’s market position through an active revenue process, focusing on bottom line profit for each route and voyage in the business region
• Ensure effective pricing and pricing strategies
• Ensure that revenue is optimized through best mix of passengers, cars and freight
• Daily Operations
• Forecasting performance together with Sales and Marketing organizations
• Perform and keep control of sales net contributions
• Monitor booking processes and handle short- and long term volume forecasts
• Conduct voyage simulations
• Optimize space allocation on our vessels
• Monitor KPI’s related to the service level and take action to ensure that targets are achieved
• Recommend timetable optimization
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on required service levels based on forecasted volumes
• Monitor competitors´ activities and external factors influencing volumes such as events, holiday periods, political developments etc

Qualifications:
You have a degree within Business Administration, logistics or equivalent experience. We believe that you have experience from working within Shipping, Revenue/Yield Management, Freight or the in Logistics business.  Experience from working in a fast changing and international environment is a requirement. You are fluent in English (oral and written) and we value Swedish and German speaking skills.  We see it as an advantage if you are familiar with Swedish and German Business Culture. Further on you have commercial interest and extensive business acumen.
