What’s in it for you?
In Research & Development, we are searching for a Rig Object Preparer/Planner. The Test Object team is leading and coordinating all needs as well as utilization, instrumentation and updates of the test object during its complete lifetime. The test object team works globally with internal customers in R&D as well as pilot and production plants. At Aurobay, test objects are defined as prototype test engines, hybrid solutions and test vehicles for all test and calibration activities.

As Rig Object Preparer/Planner you will be leading the coordination of engine and hybrid rig test object together with key responsible in engine workshop to optimize the utilization of the workshop and test rig object use. When test objects run as rigs, multiple C-plant parts (parts installed in vehicle plant) are needed to have as vehicle like installation in test cell as possible. In this role, you will identify needed C-plant parts for different test purposes and coordinate order of them in every prototype phase.

You will be part of the Durability testing group but work widely cross all departments involving design, testing and calibration within R&D.
The role is key in the product development process to optimize and deliver the R&D test rigs need according to specification and timing.

What you’ll do
As Rig Object Preparer you will lead, coordinate and define engine and hybrid solution rig kits i.e. vehicle parts for test engine installation.
In the combined role as Rig Object Planner, in collaboration with workshop planner, coordinate build plan of test rigs for internal and external test rig needs. You will have close collaboration both within the Test Objects team but also test and calibration teams cross R&D.

To define vehicle or other interfaces, you will be in close contact with the external customers to coordinate C-plant parts for the specific customer programs.

You and your skills
We believe you have BSc or higher education in mechanical engineering or similar, you also have equivalent work experience at least 2 years in the field of engine, hybrid or powertrain engineering.
To coordinate and specify test object deliveries, experience as project leader will be of very high interest. To manage technical questions, we see that you have knowledge of internal combustion engines.

You will be in contact with internal and external customers as well as suppliers regionally and globally, therefore you have great skills in spoken and written English.
For this position, you need to have excellent communication skills, high integrity, strong sense of delivery and a personal eagerness to accomplish results and getting things done, in time and with quality.
You are communicative with an entrepreneurial mind-set, ambitious, energetic, creative and open minded with aim to find new solutions to existing problems.
