Klarna's vision is simply to be the World's favorite way to buy. The Credit Risk Department at Klarna is tasked with managing customer and merchant credit risk as well as driving innovation in customer management and collections. There are approximately 130 people in the Credit Risk Department located in Klarna's headquarters in Stockholm.
Collection Analytics drives the Credit Risk Department's responsibility for customer strategies in servicing and collections. The goal is to support the organization's growth while keeping risk under control and ensuring that both merchants and end-consumers are happy with our service. We're looking for analysts to join the team. This is where you come in!
As a risk analyst you will be a project manager, a product developer and an analyst all-in-one. Key elements of the role will be exploration of new collection and product strategies, analysis of current customer segments, and ensuring that things get done in order to make a big impact on our bottom line results. You will collaborate throughout the organization on different levels.
Responsibilities include:
Explore large data sets in order to identify underlying patterns, trends, and key risk drivers
Identify and address process and product improvements through close cooperation with operational departments
Manage projects and explore new solutions and techniques

To be successful in this role you have a strong analytical mindset and are comfortable working independently with numbers. You need to be innovative and have the ability to see solutions where others see dead ends. You have 1-2 year's working experience from relevant field. We always like to give talented people a shot and we accept junior applicants to - so even if you're not highly experienced you should apply.
The ideal candidate has:
A good business sense, innovative mind set and is curious to learn
Expertise in statistics and quantitative analysis with the ability to translate strategic concepts into practical reality
Oral and written presentation and communication skills in English and preferably other languages
Bachelors'/Masters' degree (preferable)
Technical skills (knowledge in tools like R, SQL, VBA, Python and Matlab is a plus)
