About you
We are looking for a leader with a proven track record and specific experience in Risk Management and Compliance activities. We believe that you are knowledgeable about IKEA business and values and interested in creating a safe and compliant environment. With your strong leadership and communication skills you are able to create relationships and trust on all levels of the organisation. As a person you lead by example, have a high level of integrity and independence with an outgoing and structured way of working. You must have the ability to act decisively when in control of a high risk situation.
You are business and brand driven with a holistic view on risk scenarios. You are motivated to work in partnership with the management team to optimize business development and contribute to our goal of becoming more proactive in driving the development of the IKEA Concept, while protecting our brand. Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English is required.
About the job
The Risk Management & Compliance function leads, steers, and supports the business to safeguard the IKEA brand by identifying, anticipating on, navigating through opportunities and risks based on IKEA values and culture. Together with effective monitoring and follow-up, this leads to risk aware decision taking and practical business control.
The Risk and Compliance Leader is responsible for developing a broad and proactive risk management approach for the IKEA Components group which is well accepted and understood by the business leaders, ensuring risk are identified, assessed and key risks are tread adequately.
About the assignment
The Risk and Compliance Leader leads, creates frameworks and conditions for planning, designing and implementing the risk management process for the three legal IKEA Component units. This should be done by creating a framework of clear trademark requirements including a compliance setup connected to our concept monitoring activities. This also includes creating internal compliance structures where steering documents, Code of Conduct, policies, rules and standards are followed up on. You will also engage in global compliance activities that are executed in the country and secure that the business runs in a compliant way, according to group policies, standards, rules and also in alignment with regulatory requirement.
You will also create risk reporting in an appropriate way for different audiences, for example, to the board, leaders and co-workers to ensure they are aware of risks relevant to their parts of the business and to other business partners. Thereby, you need to develop and maintain strong relationship with business leaders and ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.
