Risk Framework Specialist
Nasdaq Clearing is now looking for a Risk Framework Specialist to join the Risk Policy and Reporting team within Nasdaq Clearings CRO organization.
The CRO function is primarily responsible for controlling and overseeing that Nasdaq Clearing operates in accordance with the applicable risk management framework to ensure prudent and effective management of financial, operational, strategic & business and legal & regulatory risks associated with Nasdaq Clearings activities.
Nasdaq Clearing handles the clearing of three different Clearing Services, focusing primarily on Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income Derivatives, Repos and Commodity Derivatives. Risk Management for these services is accomplished through a comprehensive risk management framework made up of policies, procedures, standards and human, informational and technological resources. These resources and the framework that is applied are essential to the accurate measurement, desired level of control and level of protection from all significant risks. The framework is also designed to meet the risk management and related corporate governance objectives of Nasdaq Clearing.
Your role and responsibilities:
This is a great opportunity for you who have experience working broadly with risk frameworks and would like to oversee the entire risk framework, communicate about Nasdaq Clearings risks and ensure that the risks that Nasdaq Clearing is exposed to are managed by relevant departments.
As a Risk Framework specialist, you will be part of the second line function and report to the Head of Risk Policy and Reporting. You will:
Work on developing and improving the risk framework ensuring that Nasdaq Clearing is compliant with policies and regulations, and preparing risk appetite statements and reports to the Board.
Navigate through different regulatory changes and ensure that Nasdaq Clearing is implementing these changes efficiently.
Work with risk assurance and be responsible for preparing communication material describing Nasdaq Clearings risk framework to relevant governing committees and stakeholders.
Support in the development of Nasdaq Clearings recovery framework as well as the ESG risk framework.
We expect you to have:
Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or related field
5-10 years of work experience within financial and non-financial risk management
Proven track record in developing and communicating appropriate risk management, strategies and processes
Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent command in English both written and spoken
It would be great if you have:
Experience working with ESG risks
