Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter. Aeronautics Security & Risk Management department consists of several security and crisis management specialist. Your role
The Risk Manager advise risk owners on any potential risks to the profitability or existence of the company. You will identify and assess threats, put plans in place for if things go wrong and recommend how to avoid, reduce or transfer risks to the risk owners. As BA Aeronautics Risk Manager you are responsibel for processes, methods & tools are in place. You will also support a network of security risk managers within Aeronautics programs and operations controling their risks. Your key challenge is to create an enterprise risk management culture within BA Aeronautics in close cooparation with Group functions. 
Aeronautics risk manager is responsible for managing the risks in our organisation, its employees, customers, reputation, assets and interests of stakeholders. You will work in a variety of sectors and build BA Aeronautics way forward to achieve an organisation wide risk management culture. Examples of sectors to develop, support and control are:

enterprise risk;
business area governance;
regulatory and operational risk;
business continuity;
cyber and security risk;
technology risk;
market and credit risk 

Specific key activities includes:

planning, designing and implementing an overall risk management process for BA Aeronautics;
risk assessment, which involves analysing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business;
risk evaluation, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the organisation such as costs, legal requirements and environmental factors, and evaluating the organisation's previous handling of risks;
establishing and quantifying the organisation's 'risk appetite', i.e. the level of risk they are prepared to accept;
risk reporting in an appropriate way for different audiences, for example, to the Aeronautics General Management Team, so they understand the most significant risks, to business heads to ensure they are aware of risks relevant to their parts of the business and to individuals to understand their accountability for individual risks;
Support BA Aeronautics governance involving external risk reporting to stakeholders;
Be a part of processes such as purchasing insurance, implementing health and safety measures and making business continuity plans to limit risks and prepare for if things go wrong;
conducting internal audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors;
providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organisation.
Work is primarily office based but often includes visits to other offices.
Travel within the working day is common.
Overseas travel may be required

Your skills and experience
The candidate risk manager should have a masters degree in business administration, our equilavent business experience and +10 years of progressively responsible for a major company or division for a large corporation. Should have experience of partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communications skills, as well as a strong knowledge of processes.
