Lead operations risk manager to leading provider of trading, clearing, exchange technology, listing, information and public company services across six continents.
Our client is now looking for a Lead operations financial risk manager consultant. This position will be part of the Group Risk Management team reporting to the Western European Enterprise Risk Manager and will assist and support the development and execution of ERM tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risk in the region. The role brings opportunities for continuous learning.
Description: Our client is the world's largest exchange solution company providing top of the line trading and clearing technology with more than 3,500 listed companies. You will primarily work with Genium INET: our state of the art trading and clearing platform used to power markets in the Nordics as well as several large markets around the world, such as Singapore Exchange and Hong Kong Exchange.
About the team, role and responsibilities: As a member of the Group Risk Management (GRM) team, your responsibilities include:
• Supporting the implementation and maintenance of the ERM Framework including Risk Assessments, Risk Incidents, Key Risk Indicators, and Risk Analysis and Reporting.
• Working with GRM team members to drive a risk-aware culture and assist and support the development and execution of ERM tools, practices, and policies.
• Assisting risk and control owners with the identification and assessment of key risks and mitigating controls in their business areas.
• Conducting root cause analyses on identified risk incidents and control weaknesses to recommend improvements.
• Monitoring the implementation of action plans to remediate documented issues.
• Preparing reports to management risk committees and legal entity boards in the region.
• Aggregating and analyzing ERM Program data to provide actionable information to management.
• Providing guidance and/or training to the process and control owners on use of Nasdaq’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) database application (BWise).
• Participating as a key user of the integrated GRC platform to ensure the system provides the appropriate level of support and efficiencies for the ERM programs.
• Effectively communicating with broader global risk team and partner with peers to ensure consistency of approach and awareness of issues, challenges, and opportunities.
• Pro-actively engaging Internal Audit, SOX, Compliance, Information Security, Vendor Risk Management, Business Continuity and other assurance functions to support an integrated approach to risk management.

Requirements: • BA / BS in related field
• 5-7+ years of experience, with a mix of audit, risk and/or technology, and/or consulting roles.
• Prior experience with GRC platforms (RSA ARCHER, BWise or OpenPages) is desirable.
• Experience in the financial services industry (capital markets or financial technology), preferred.
• Previous risk and control design or assessment experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills;
• Strong problem-solving skills, investigative, and analytical skills including ability to effectively address issues in collaboration with others
• Inquisitive nature, resourcefulness, and ability to seek out information
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to develop trusted working relationships at all levels of the organization.
