Assignment description
The Risk Specialist is responsible for the implementation of our risk management practices at a project and program level. The Risk Specialist facilitates project risk workshops to identify and quantify discrete risks, ensures that risk mitigation plans are documented and implemented, and provides risk-related content for project and program reports and presentations. The Risk Specialist reports to the site Director Project Controls and works closely with project directors, project managers, project controls, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning to ensure that risks and mitigation actions are communicated effectively and accurately to internal and external stakeholders.
• Establishes risk management procedures, templates and reports for individual projects and for the overall program.
• Owns and maintains the risk register template/tool and related risk databases and dashboards.
• Leads the overall risk management process for the Ett Expansion program and serves as the risk expert providing support for individual projects, ensuring quality and completeness, and communicating and escalating risks to senior management.
• Facilitates regular project and program risk workshops by ensuring relevant stakeholders are present, and helping project teams to identify, document, qualify and quantify project-specific risks and their related mitigation plans.
• Ensures that risk register content is complete, i.e., including us, equipment vendors, and construction contractor discrete and systemic risks.
• Assists risk owners with the development and maintenance of risk mitigation plans and ensures the project risk registers are up-to-date and reflect current mitigation status.
• Assists project cost engineers with the identification of cost trends that impact the estimate at completion (EAC) by identifying risks that have or may soon occur.
• Performs Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) studies for individual projects and advises the project team, program cost control team, and Business Control the amount of cost contingency required to achieve a final forecast cost (EAC) for a given probability (e.g., P50, P80, etc.).
• Assists with the performance of Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) studies for individual projects, including the development of schedule risk models, assignment of duration ranges, and allocation of discrete risks to activities or groups of activities. Prepares the SRA report for the project team and program planning/scheduling team and advises the amount of schedule contingency required to achieve a forecast completion date for a given probability (e.g., P50, P80, etc.)
• Contributes risk-related content for program-level reports and presentations.
• Participates in the broader risk community by sharing experience and lessons learned.

• University degree in engineering, business administration, accounting, economics, or finance.
• 2 or more years of risk management experience on industrial projects greater than €50 million
• In-depth knowledge of risk management practices and concepts
• Ability to work without supervision and to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Ability to process, analyze and draw meaningful conclusions from large volumes of data.
• Ability to extrapolate meaningful information from statistical analysis.
