We are now recruiting a Logistics Supervisor to our Logistics Team Road & Rail. Do you want to be a part of our exciting journey?
Main Responsibilities
As a supervisor you will be leading a team of 4 to 6 specialists responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring transportation for respective modes ensuring adherence to our processes and in alignment with cost and service targets. You are responsible for the performance and operations of your team and are committed to development and growth of your team members and will lead by example. You are expected to build strong internal as well as external relationships with all our different stakeholders.
Your team is responsible for validation of availability and to secure transport mode capacity in alignment with expected volumes and forecasts on business line level.
You as a supervisor are expected to support the implementation of process improvement and cost reduction measures to drive operational efficiency and service and by doing so ensure timely planning, execution, and monitoring of all shipments to ensure customer service and stakeholder’s needs are met.
The supervisor role also includes KPI monitoring and performance meetings with the vendors we use.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics / supply chain with a preference for having experience in managing teams. Experience with chemical companies is preferred
Proven leadership skills by preference including leading a team with clear objectives, results-orientation, change catalyst, and developing people
Demonstrated knowledge and leadership experience in managing logistics activities for a functional team
Experience identifying and executing process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cost and / or improving service level
Strong understanding of the road transport market
Strong working knowledge and history of using computers and programs specific to logistics (SAP, TMS, WMS) and to general business management (MS Excel, Word)
Experience with logistics providers, customs brokers, and government agency relationship management and performance evaluations
Demonstrated understanding of international shipping requirements in the supported countries within the EMEA region
Understanding of import and export activities

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Erik Österberg, Team Lead Road and Rail based in Bohus.
