Road Noise and Chassis NVH, Senior Analysis Engineer

The section Body & Chassis NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) is part of Volvo Cars department NVH Centre. The department is one of Sweden's most prominent NVH groups and it supports Volvo's car programs with analyses and verification work to be able to fulfil customer targets within the attribute area of noise and vibrations. Our responsibilities are target setting, method development, calculations, testing, attribute leadership and advanced engineering work. The specific tasks of the section Body/Chassis NVH are related to issues such as wind noise, road noise, operational sound quality, body acoustics and car isolation packages. We are responsible to support the whole development process from early pre-program phases until product launch quality. We have extensive communication with other internal design areas, suppliers and our development centre in Shanghai.
We are looking to strengthen our team with a Senior Analysis Engineer - Noise & Vibration. As a analysis engineer you will be responsible to develop our test methods and perform advanced physical analyses and verifications of actual noise and vibrations. You will have many internal interfaces of collaboration and develop a broad network. To fulfil your responsibilities you will also get to travel in order to test our vehicles in different customer related driving conditions.
Main responsibilities
* Responsible for Body & Chassis NVH attributes within Volvo's car projects
* Responsible for target setting as well as analyse and verification planning within the area
* Responsible for method development and advanced projects.
* Performing advanced analyses and support our projects
* Test vehicles in different customer related driving conditions to evaluate NVH
* Test subsystems according to system requirements
* Report results to car program and propose improvements to the design solutions
Required qualifications
* M.Sc within related engineering areas, preferably with a specialisation in acoustics, or equivalent work experience
* Experience within automotive NVH is needed
* Experience from product development in the automotive industry is meritorious
* Drivers licence (B-level)
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
