In the role of Royalty Specialist, you will be a part of the Partner Relations team, which is part of the New Development function at H&M. We have the mission to charge the red logo, explore new business opportunities and support the Business Units in building strong partnerships.
Job Description
As our Royalty Specialist you are part of the core Licensing team, with a mission to build strong and collaborative partnerships within the areas of entertainment, music, gaming and toys. You are an important ambassador of H&M, and a symbol for great collaboration & creative problem solving. The role focuses on contract management, setting routines and handling royalty reporting and invoicing, labelling and other tasks ensuring a smooth-running licensing business. You assist in contract negotiations to assure workable terms and take part in training colleagues in how to work with licensed products. You are in daily contact with partners as well as with colleagues across internal functions, providing support, sharing expertise and troubleshooting.
Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Royalty reporting and forecasting from internal systems on monthly and quarterly basis to partners in accordance with agreed terms. Lead audits by external partners.
Coordinate trademark appearance (labelling) on products and in sales channels. Assign requests to our internal label team, coordinate approval from License holder and support Supply chain in how to apply.
Support on expertise areas in ongoing contract negotiations to assure workable terms for reporting, documentation, labelling and other related areas.
Assure routines for product compliance requirements and sustainability compliance for licensed products, operated by PO Sustainability Responsible.
Secure support for licensed products in our internal business systems. Be the team’s spokesperson in development of new business tools.
Coordinate documentation for import/export, taxes, and customs for license products, operated by Supply Chain & regional teams.
Co-lead internal training on how to work with licensed products and external partners.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role we believe that you are a great relationship builder with a business mind and a love for numbers. You are structured and meticulous, readily capable to take on the role as coordinator and administrator and enjoy doing so. You are a creative problem solver that enjoys working independently as well as in group.
We’d love to meet someone who:
Has a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with financial reporting, handling invoices and working with business support.
Experience of working with licensing IP rights
Good knowledge the Office packages and great knowledge in Excel
Has previous experience of leading courses a plus
