Ericsson BSS Solution Area provides software and services which enables customer-centric business operations and digital engagement which allow Operators to monetize on improved customer experience and support business models for current or future innovations. BSS SA telecom charging and billing solutions are flexible, business-focused software solutions deployed in over 300 operators around the world. They support more than a billion customers worldwide, meeting the needs of operators, service providers and users alike.
Spanning all B2C, B2B and B2B2X revenue streams, these solutions help evolve to capture and secure revenue streams and take advantage of business opportunities from both traditional telecom services as well as digital services, 5G and IoT. The converged platform handles all customer and service types, regardless of payment option or access method. The BSS portfolio is designed to support a low-risk but effective step-by-step evolution to the Digital world that is being built with 5G and IoT. The solutions are pre-integrated with other Ericsson solutions such as self-care, analytics, OSS and Core, and also support available standards for multivendor integration.
Ericsson’s Digital Business Support System offering provides a full set of charging, billing and catalog capabilities for the digital operator. We help evolve operator BSS into Digital Business Support solutions that become an integral part of a great customer experience and enable emerging digital ecosystems. Our integrated portfolio comprises Ericsson BSS products and partner ecosystem, data driven, analytical, real-time service and experience control.
As Head of Sales Readiness and Sales Support within SA BSS, you will report to the Head of SA BSS and be a member of the SA BSS Leadership Team. You will be responsible for a global organization covering the activities within the Sales Readiness and Sales Support area.
As a senior leader and a member of the SA BSS Leadership Team, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong ability to innovate, collaborate, be result oriented, a problem-solver in a highly fast-paced organization.
The candidate must have significant customer facing experience and demonstrate business savviness. Stakeholder management and strong interpersonal skills will be key to success.
This position has 7 direct reports and size of the unit is 30-33 people spread across several countries globally.
What you will do
Establish a strong business development plan and Key Battles per Market Area (MA)
SA BSS Commercial Guideline Definition and Execution and ensure commercial alignment in place
Anchor BSS Business Strategy to MA's and make sure that business plan execution is aligned and in place on MA's
Engage with customer executives to secure the portfolio positioning and value argumentation
Secure the execution of the monetization of the BSS installed base and deliver the objectives of strategy execution plans and KPI's
You will bring
As a Bachelors in Science, 15+ years of experience in the Telecom industry
At least 10 years of experience in software product management, leading both inbound and outbound activities
Strong BSS domain expertise and market/competitor knowledge
Deep understanding of commercial management and sales processes of Ericsson
Transformation/services/delivery experience – an advantage
Being a role model for successors by demonstrating high integrity with a strong focus on compliance and the ability to foster a speak-up culture
Demonstrate courageous leadership; curious and willing to challenge the status-quo
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to inspire change
High agility, ability to work in an uncertain, dynamic environment
Ability to establish collaborative relationships and influence MAs
