Analysis engineer CAE and testing – Vulnerable Road User Injury Prevention
Workplace description:
The Vulnerable Road User (VRU) & Interior Head Impact (IHI) Analysis team 91408 at Volvo Cars Safety Centre is responsible for the evaluation of pedestrian protection and interior head impact safety performance in our current and future cars.
You will perform advanced finite element simulations and run tests with the aim to analyze and develop safety performance in our future cars. Your main task will be safety integration analysis within Vulnerable Road User (VRU) injury prevention. You will be a part of a collaborative team and work closely with your team members, department program managers (DPM) and Engineering Manager (EM).

Responsibilities:

* Create and develop virtual simulation models (CAE) and setup physical testing.
* Perform simulations, run tests and conduct analyses based on results from both virtual & physical tests.
* Participate in development of technical solutions.
* Participate in the continuous development of the team’s capability and common deliveries.


Competence Requirements:
* MSc in Engineering
* High competence level in CAE-tools as LS-Dyna, Ansa and Meta Post.
* Well-documented experience within CAE impact analysis
* Good analytical competence
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* High ability to work in team – personal skills to get things done in collaboration.


Meritorious Competences:
* Vulnerable Road User Injury Prevention.
* Knowledge of Volvo product development process.
* Experience from other OEMs in CAE Safety area.
* Skills in other important tools as: TeamCenter, VisMockup or Catia are an advantage
* Skills in scripting languages, such as Python, Matlab or other


Personal qualities:
* Should like to work collaboratively with others to achieve shared objectives.
* Structured way of working, and good documentation skills.
* Positive attitude.
* Self-driven, result oriented and flexible.
