SAFETY ENGINEER

Our division Propulsion & Controls (PPC) is responsible for delivering propulsion and control systems in the front edge of technology to a worldwide market. Our systems are the heart, the brain and the muscles of the train.

In the safety engineer role you will be responsible for the safety work within a project from the tender phase to the end of warranty. This includes ensuring that all internal departments understands and fulfil the requirements to ensure that that the vehicle is approved by the customer and the authorities. A safety engineer works together with the engineering departments to ensure that product safety is considered in all parts of the design.

The team consist of a group of people with great experience and various backgrounds - this is a great possibility for someone a bit more junior to learn, grow and develop in an open and friendly environment.

Your key responsibilities and challenges are:

- Performing analysis
- Coordination of the safety work within the project
- Influence and review system design

Qualifications

As our preferred candidate you have:

an engineering degree in engineering physics, electrical engineering alternatively mechanical or quality engineering or similar.

experience in working with safety engineering

knowledge of safety analysis methods, in particular FMECA and FTA

knowledge of safety standards such asEN50126-50128 and 50129 is desirable.

knowledge and experience from working with quality is considered to be an asset

Fluency in English is needed. If you speak Swedish, German, French or Spanish it is an advantage.

As a person you need to be meticulous, open minded, flexible, and communicative.
