Autonomy is at the forefront of technology and we have to make sure that Scania continues to meet the customers’ expectations when it comes to safety, reliability, and privacy.
We are now building a team where we offer you the opportunity to work within Safety and Security for driving autonomously on the highway and local roads with heavy vehicles. We work with functional safety, SOTIF, and cyber security to ensure that our autonomous vehicles are safe and secure in our Hub-to-Hub solution.

Are you up for the challenge?
Assignment
Your assignment will be to work with Safety. Your daily tasks will vary from
• being part of setting up the safety mindset and culture
• coaching and inspiring teams
But also work hands-on with Safety
• hazard- and risk analysis
• safety analysis
• developing safety concepts
• compiling the safety case and investigating incidents when and if they occur
We expect and encourage you to be on the test track or highway together with the engineers developing and coaching problem-solving for our solution to be world-class.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for you who are a curious person inspired by challenging objectives. An engineer with drive, either experienced within the field of Safety or intending to change/start your career working with Safety. Both profiles will contribute to the team we are building.
You are
• enthusiastic, have a can-do mentality combined with a structured way of working
• flexible and adapt actions and behavior depending on changes in pre-requisites and environment.
• a team player capable of working and delivering results together with others as well as on your own.
You have an academic education and knowledge of software development, a few years of professional experience, and practical experience in Safety.
A background in the automotive sector and understanding and knowledge of autonomous systems for vehicles is highly meritorious.
Fluency in English is mandatory. Swedish is meritorious and we highly appreciate your ambition to improve.
But most importantly, you are passionate about Safety!
