As a Safety Engineer you will participate in product development projects as the person with the overall responsibility for safety management and act as a liaison with the independent validator and the independent safety assessor.


Responsibilities:


· Responsible for defining, planning and coordinating the safety activities within the project.


· Prepares input for the Safety Case, performs the Safety Management activities and thus writes the Safety Management Report(s).


· Specifies and coordinates the necessary safety activities to demonstrate fulfilment of the safety requirements and achievement of Safety Certification/Assessment.


· Coordinates and leads hazard control activities according to the relevant standards and as required by the agreed requirements specifications.


· Participating in the project’s core team together with the project manager.


· Contact person to external safety stakeholders such as customer safety manager, independent safety assessor, certification body and national safety approval authority.


Qualifications


· Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering and or equivalent work experience in safety engineering of complex systems.


· Excellent knowledge in systems development, systems configuration, and their interfaces.


· Knowledge of safety analysis software (FTA, FMECA) is an advantage.


· Good knowledge and/or experience in Railway Signalling safety and/or railway CENELEC norms, is considered a plus.
