Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the site-level Safety and Health infrastructure, ensuring our operations are in compliance with local legal and Emerson regulations and standards.
Partner with management to develop and implement a site strategy and road map to address Safety & Health deficiencies and ensure regulatory compliance
Develop objectives and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs for the site - auditing, analyzing, documenting, and reporting on their implementation and effectiveness to management via dashboards & reports.
Provide expertise in process safety ensuring industry best practice. Develop, lead and coach teams and initiatives to continuously improve and strengthen safety culture and operational integration.
Monitor and evaluate risks of operations in partnership with cross-functional teams. Provide guidance and coaching on pro-active risk identification and mitigation.
Requirements
Preferably you have a University Degree in safety management, occupational safety engineer or related relevant field. Health/safety management certification is a merit
A minimum of 5+ years of experience and applied knowledge of developing, implementing, and maintaining safety & health programs.
To be successful as the Safety & Health Manager strong communication, leadership and influencing skills are crucial. To be confident in taking own, pro-active decisions and initiatives, based on analytics and inputs including strategic thinking is needed.
As a person you are service minded and positive. You have the ability to relate to all kinds of people and build relationships based on trust and credibility
