Safety Installation Officer - Calderys Nordic AB

Technogarden is now helping Calderys Nordic AB recruiting a Safety Installation Officer for installation projects of refractory materials for industry at the Swedish market.

In the roll as the Safety Installation Officer you will be responsible for driving and establish a positive Safety, Health and Environmental culture within the Swedish Installation and provide technical and legal advice, so that Health and Safety firmly stays at the top of every agenda and is embedded in all aspects of business thinking and decision making.



Responsibilities

- Take a prominent role as a member of Health & Safety improvement initiative teams that addresses important and potentially very sensitive issues, especially at our customer sites.
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of Management Systems to ensure that our company comply with relevant country legislation and EHS policies.
- Ensure all accidents, dangerous occurrences and near misses are investigated thoroughly with root cause analysis. Ensure that control measures and improvements are implemented to prevent reoccurrence and promote a zero accident and safety culture.
- Maintain Health and Safety Audit systems, procedures and conduct audits incl communication of findings and action plans.
- Conduct safety inspections at installation projects whenever required.
- Assist Management in the production, co-ordination and verification of Risk Assessments, safe methods of work, accident investigation reports and EHS records.
- Assist operations in developing and practicing emergency procedures.
- Involvement in the design and implementation of new developments ensuring that Health and Safety aspects are identified and addressed.
- Liaise and communicate with the EMEA Safety installation director to ensure good practices, Health and Safety initiatives and changes in. When necessary, external communication to the Regulators.
- Develop and deliver EHS training strategies and activities, both by yourself and through empowering the line managers.
- Create a positive safety mindset with all individuals and stakeholders on a daily basis.
- Available for Health and Safety incidents, providing technical support and advice, evaluation and liaison with Regulatory authorities
- Working close and together with Safety installation team EMEA




Your background and skills

- Recognized Health and Safety Qualification
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Legislation
- Good knowledge and understanding of Environmental Legislation
- Effective team player and able to take a leading role
- Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to motivate, coach and communicate on many levels (both internally and externally)
- Able to work with changing business priorities, by managing personal workloads and priorities
- Pragmatic problem solver
- Competent IT skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
- Autonomous worker and self-starter
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the Company
- Professional proficiency in Swedish and English, any other European language is an advantage
- Working in an international environment




Location

For the role you will be located in Gothenburg or Gävle, but 40-60% of time will be spent on customers plants throughout Sweden.
