You will be based in Eskilstuna in Volvo CE’s largest Customer Centre with a state-of-art work environment focused on collaboration and communication. In our team, we value flexibility and a good work-life balance. We are now looking for a new colleague for the position as Safety Leader in Sales Europe and International. Do you want to join us?


What challenge do we offer?


At Volvo CE, health and safety are our #1 Priority. The role as Safety Leader is new and you will be able to define and influence the position along the journey. You will be our global subject matter expert for topics concerning Occupational Health & Safety and Product Safety in our retail operations. In addition, you will be the Safety Leader for our regions’ head office and Volvo CE’s largest Customer Centre in Eskilstuna. You will be the go-to person and responsible for the continued development and implementation of safety standards and procedures on a global level. With engagement you will provide leadership and coaching to create awareness and foster a safety culture, including the development of safety-related trainings. As the Safety Champion within Sales, you will work closely with key stakeholders from across the organization and recommend, develop as well as launch new standards and policies based on organizational needs. You will drive best practice sharing and continuous improvements to develop the safety culture in Sales.


Other responsibilities include:
Analyze changes to working conditions as well as regulations and recommend and drive the implementation of actions to ensure compliance and the safety of all employees in our retail operations.
Conduct and support safety assessments to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment, working practices, or working conditions.
Drive the investigation of accidents, completing and/or verifying accident reports, and liaising with specialists and health and safety authorities to identify root causes and preventative measures for implementation.

Who are you?


You have a drive to make a difference and to develop the safety culture in Sales globally. We think you have good people and networking skills and can work as a change agent and communicator across all levels. You probably enjoy building relations and to motivate, lead and energize others. You have practical and people-oriented working knowledge of safety-related methodologies and tools. You are passionate about safety and have knowledge of health and safety standards, particularly ISO45001 and other similar or related international standards. You have a commercial interest and mind-set to be successful in the collaboration with dealer and sales operations. As you will be responsible for the development and implementation of safety standards and procedures, we think you have strong business ethics and international norms beyond legal compliance. You can pay attention to details that are essential for success, as well as adapt methods and terminology when needed.


Other qualifications we think you have:
Experience working with Occupational Health & Safety as well as Product Safety in an industrial environment
Trained / certified Auditor and Assessor or similar experience working with audits and assessments
Fluent in English, written and spoken, other languages an advantage
