Your mission?
As a Platform Safety Manager is to manage, perform and ensure the activities related to safety assurance in the platform development programs, ultimately to deliver safe railway signaling solutions. This is done by leading and coaching the team of safety engineers, managing, and planning resources, applying and improving safety assurance processes and methods, as well as providing safety expertise when needed.
Your key responsibilities?
Group management of the safety team
Allocate the workload of Safety Resources according to Program needs.
Manage and approve program commitments for development.
Develop and maintain Safety resources skills, manage training and mentoring.
Ensure proper application of the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification, and validation) and application of Alstom Signaling Safety Instruction.
Deploy Safety Process, Method, and Tools.
Drive continuous improvements.
Act as the Safety Process Correspondent.
Ensure convergence between Program/Products and Projects for safety-related topics.
Provide Technical and Safety Expertise.
Ensure Customer (internal or external) Safety Acceptance.
Review safety issues and analysis, and support root cause identification and mitigation measures.
Periodical reporting
Minimum qualifications:
You have a strong background as Safety Engineer in Embedded Systems development, and you confidently master the entire system development cycle.
Your background is preferably that of Rail Solutions, but other safety critical industries are also of interest.
You are also an experienced People Manager and leader, and you recognize that your success comes from the success of others.
Master’s degree in computer science, mechatronics, electronic engineering, or equivalent.
Experience in team management or other relevant leadership experience.
Documented experience from safety engineering of embedded systems or electronics development, at least 5 years (mandatory)
Mastering CENELEC Standards for Safety (or equivalent standards if needed: AREMA, IEEE, European TSI, etc ) and safety methodology, concepts and principles.
Fluent command of the English language, orally and in writing (mandatory).
Command of the Swedish language (bonus) or strong drive to learn Swedish.
