Safety Manager

We are now recruiting our new Safety Managers leading our implementation of SMS (Safety Management System) in our EASA Part-21 and Part-145 approvals.

Your role

Initially you will be part of the central Quality function which has the overall responsibility to support the BU and the BU Management team with overall Quality Management within our general and aviation approvals.

As a Safety Manager you will be responsible for:

* Development of the SMS
* Supervise implementation of the SMS
* Perform Safety performance monitoring
* Staying concurrent with safety compliance and supervising policies and procedures
* Perform Safety audits

As a Safety Manager, you will possess strong understanding of the Safety Management System (SMS) impact on our approvals and the link to business success. You will managing the SMS and facilitating the safety program's operations and report to the Accountable Manager or Head of Design organization. As your field of work spans over a large portion of our business, you will work closely with both employees, line managers, project managers and NP's (Nominated Persons).

Your Profile

You are highly self-motivated, structured and have a proactive approach. Ability to coach and support employees with good communicative leadership skills is crucial. You demonstrate strategic height, meaning you can connect the external requirements in to practical implementation in the organization. You are motivated by the challenge in developing efficient ways-of-working while upholding compliance, regarding the two as interdependent. You express true integrity in your role and you are comfortable as a functional leader. You believe that our behaviors are crucial for our chances to achieve our goals.

To succeed the ideal candidate will have tact, diplomacy and a high degree of integrity in combination with:

* Good understanding and proven knowledge of aviation standards, e.g. requirements from ICAO, EASA, SE-EMAR and Swedish Transport Agency.
* Good written and verbal communication skills both in Swedish and English
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Analytical skills
* A "can-do-it" attitude to overcome roadblocks
* Ability to relate to all levels, both inside and outside the organisation
* Strong influencing skills with high levels of engagement

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
