Do you have experience with safety management on large scale construction projects? And would you like to help us build airports in Greenland?
For the next three years, Munck Civil Engineering is the main contractor on the construction of new airports in Nuuk and Ilulissat. For our project in Ilulissat, we are currently looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Safety Manger.
Start: as soon as possible.
Your role
The role as Safety Manager is manifold, and you will be managing very different tasks on a day-to-day basis. The tasks can be as follows:
-Ensuring safety subjects are communicated and handled internally through safety briefings
-Analyzing potential safety issues for the technical solutions
-Writing, giving input to and reviewing safety documentation, e.g. plans, system definitions, hazard logs and safety cases
-Coordinating and inspections with the Client in relation to all safety aspects
-Coordinating with the airport and participating in flight safety meetings
-Weekly and monthly reporting on safety issues
Experience and education
You either hold a relevant degree in safety management or have experience with safety management in a construction context. Candidates with experience in artic climate and conditions will be preferred.
It is important that you can function in a complex organization with a fast-paced environment. The role is dependant on your ability to ensure collaboration with the organization, and you are confident with coordinating with stakeholders as well as taking the lead on solving safety issues.
